Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting food pantry operations and inventory system management: food sorting, stocking, and distributing while abiding by food safety best practices. Implementing food pantry check-in and check-out procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment. Acting as a team lead and coordinating action for food pantry volunteers as needed.
Due to the direct service delivery function of this role, candidates must also be thoughtful and demonstrate the ability to exercise uncompromising discretion with sensitive information. Ideal candidates will be reliable and detail-oriented. Being passionate about food insecurity is a plus.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to adhere to ethical business practices and promote ethical behavior.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
