What you'll do:
  • Ensures quality client services, clarity on work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality
  • Direct and supervise complex studies and investigations. Investigate new areas of technology or new applications of existing techniques. Define tasks to be conducted by others, and provide general supervision, review, and approval. Responsible for collecting, correlating, and preparing recommendations and conclusions for final reports.
  • Determine and schedule required project resources. Evaluate and analyze project decisions to ensure objectivity, soundness of design, and impact of those decisions on schedule, budget, and needs.
  • Maintain established schedule. Keep the Northeast Florida Leader and/or Project Manager abreast of all project activities, responding promptly to needs, problems, or requests associated with project design.
  • Provides technical and design services in support of water infrastructure projects (i.e. water and wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection/pumping).
  • Responsibilities include: conduct preliminary and final engineering evaluations, prepare various reports, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, and prepare permit submittals for municipal engineering projects.
  • Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.
  • Assemble discipline specifications for assigned projects
  • Reviews applicable shop drawings and submittal data for compliance with construction documents
  • Prepare and/or supervise engineering reports, studies, calculations, and checks drawings.
  • Perform sophisticated and complicated designs and calculations in accordance with established standards and software.
  • Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/ management of change, startup and commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in professional organizations and technical committees

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering or civil engineer required, Master's Degree in Civil in Environmental Engineering a plus
  • E. license in Florida or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • 4-8 years in working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication and technical skills along with project plans and presentations
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of a project team
  • Experience with design of municipal water/wastewater/reclaimed water facilities and/or conveyance infrastructure
  • Experience with civil engineering means and methods, permitting with agencies and engineering software (ICPR, SSA, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS)
  • Must be able to work as part of a project team.
