The Warehouse Support Specialist at Baker Distributing CDC is a dynamic and integral role requiring a customer-centric focus and comprehensive knowledge of warehouse procedures. This individual represents our organization, offering customer service support to clients and corporate management.
Essential Duties/Accountabilities
- Represent Baker Distributing CDC's with customer service support to customers and Baker management.
- Release Transfer and Sales Orders in a Timely manner.
- Respond to emails from Service Centers for all requests in a Timely manner using the Team Dynamix Service requester.
- Maintain Transfer and Sales Orders that are written incorrectly by the Service Centers.
- Batch Orders for UPS and LTL orders for transportation cost efficiencies.
- Screen Transfers and send untagged orders to purchasing for their approval, then drop to warehouse when approved.
- Stay current on any un-dropped orders or any that go into NC status or have been sent to purchasing to prevent not shipping orders that need to be shipped.
- Ensure that all orders are dropped to the RF device before cutoff is met.
- Handle all shipping requirements ie. expedited loads for CRD orders.
- Scan receiving documents and file paperwork.
- Contact vendors and carriers regarding PO discrepancies, I.E. shortages, overages, and damages.
- Follow up on all issues until resolved and maintain notes on all PO's in Mincron.
- Create and ship vendor returns
- Answer phone and emails in a timely manner.
- Assist with ordering of office and warehouse supplies.
- Assist in warehouse, I.e. receiving, picking, BOL creation, or any other duties as needed.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Ability to operate a computer and utilize software applications, including Mincron WMS, AFS, and Excel spreadsheets.
- A professional and courteous demeanor to effectively interact with personnel and management at all levels.
- Assist with various warehouse-related duties, including cycle counts and product verification.
- Effective communication skills in English, including speaking, reading, and understanding, to ensure compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet customer service expectations.

- Required to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Required to position self to access equipment by standing, sitting, or walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Operates computer and telephone equipment for extended periods of time.
- Visual acuity is required to perform essential job functions such as reading labels, inspecting equipment, monitoring inventory, and operating machinery. Tasks may involve close vision, distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and visual focus.
