Reporting to the Director of Aquatics, the Swim Lessons Instructor at Ransom Everglades School is a part-time, hourly paid position responsible for teaching young children how to swim the four competitive strokes so that they can gain proficiency for admission to the school's swim club. <br><ul> <li>Report directly to and support the Director of Aquatics.</li> <li>Demonstrate and instruct Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle swimming strokes and techniques.</li> <li>Educate students on water safety practices and emergency procedures.</li> <li>Assess students' abilities, provide feedback, and tailor support to different skill levels. </li> <li>Work a flexible schedule that includes late afternoon, evening, and Saturday mornings.</li></ul><br><ul> <li>Proficiency in Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle strokes and techniques.</li> <li>Ability to clearly explain and demonstrate swimming techniques.</li> <li>Experience working with children.</li> <li>Supportive and patient approach to teaching.</li> <li>Prior experience in teaching or coaching swimming.</li> <li>Experience working in Independent Schools is preferred.</li> <li>Strong customer service skills</li> <li>Comfortable in and around the water</li></ul>
