Waste Pro is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Safety Lane Inspector to support our fleet operations in Pembroke Pines. This role is essential in ensuring our vehicles meet safety standards and are road-ready each day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of waste collection vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Identify and document mechanical or safety issues, and report findings promptly
- Verify that drivers complete pre- and post-trip inspections accurately
- Maintain inspection logs and ensure all documentation is up to date
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address and resolve issues efficiently
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in fleet inspection, transportation, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of vehicle safety standards and DOT regulations is a plus
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications:
- Ability to support drivers with pre- and post-trip inspection procedures
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify visible vehicle issues, including lights, mirrors, fluid leaks, and body damage
- Working knowledge of tire inspections, including checking and adjusting air pressure
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting tasks
