• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential mortgage lending with a proven track record of loan origination and business development.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., TRID, RESPA, HMDA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in mortgage loan origination software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office suite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Residential Mortgage Loan Origination:
- Source and originate residential mortgage loans from various channels including referrals, leads, and existing client relationships.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' financial situations and provide appropriate mortgage solutions tailored to their needs.
- Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Principal Relationship Managers will have goal requirements to align with the Credit Union's strategic growth plan.
- Relationship Building:
- Develop and nurture relationships with real estate agents, builders, developers, and other stakeholders in the community.
- Actively engage with community organizations, events, and networking groups to establish the company's presence and expand referral networks.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as underwriters, processors, and closers to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing and closing.
- Engage on Social Media to build the brand.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and market expansion in the residential mortgage lending space.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to anticipate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Implement strategies to enhance the company's visibility and reputation as a trusted provider of residential mortgage loans in the community.
- Customer Service and Retention:
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan lifecycle, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional products and services.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices related to residential mortgage lending.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on loan applications, documentation, and financial information to mitigate risk and prevent fraud.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loan transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Associate's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor's, MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMB, CRMP) preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential mortgage lending with a proven track record of loan origination and business development.
