Whatwill you do? As a Medical Assistant at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide avariety of essential functions to ensure effective operations of assignedprograms.
These functions include:
- Perform routineintake procedures relating to medical issues and initiate and maintain clientmedical charts.
- Administer orobserve medications and document prescription medications, blood pressure, behaviorand other related issues.
- Take client vitalsigns as appropriate, change wound dressings and perform other routinesupervised nursing activities.
- Order, inventoryand maintain stock of prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs andfirst aid supplies. Assist nurse or medical provider as required during sickcall.
- May monitorclients during daily activities including work, meals and recreation to ensurecompliance with program commitments and regulations.
- Monitor clienttelephone conversations, assist clients in accessing program resources,complete discharge plans.
- Transport clientsto offsite activities as directed and periodically assist other staff withsearches of rooms and personal belongings.
- Communicateunusual issues or circumstances to supervisory personnel and communicate withnight personnel at change of shift to provide complete information regardingcurrent client and facility conditions.
- May perform someadministrative functions including client room assignments.
- May facilitategroup recovery meetings and house meetings, note critical issues to review withothers and collect fees for services.
- May obtaininsurance benefits, authorization and continues reviews.
- May monitorclients issuing urine samples for laboratory testing and prepare and maintainrequired documentation for chain of custody.
- Document clientbehavior and other related data. Prepare periodic and special reports relatingto work activities and project progress.
- Perform crisis interventions asrequired.
- Ensure the properdisposal of bio-hazardous material.
- Maintain highstandards of ethical and professional conduct and adheres to agency policiesand procedures.
Qualifications
- High SchoolDiploma and certifications as MA
- Basic LifeSupport (BLS) through recognized association

- Pass a Motor Vehicles Records review. (Must be a minimum age of 21 to operate company vehicles)
