International Logistics Specialist

The International Logistics Specialist (ILS) plays a critical role in reviewing transportation inquiries and developing customized solutions that align with ATS International service capabilities. This position partners closely with Sales, Operations, and customers to drive revenue, margin performance, and service excellence.

You'll be at the center of building transportation strategies, managing customer relationships, and ensuring seamless execution from inquiry to delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Review incoming inquiries, RFPs, bid solicitations, and transactional requests, qualifying opportunities that align with ATS service capabilities.
  • Develop and execute transportation solutions, including assembling scope of work and communicating requirements for pricing and planning within internal systems.
  • Present pricing and service solutions professionally and timely, while actively gathering and communicating customer feedback.
  • Manage and grow an assigned account base, identifying new business opportunities while strengthening existing relationships.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal ATS teams, ensuring clear, timely communication and execution of customer needs.
  • Enter and manage booking and load details accurately within operating systems to ensure on-time delivery and service excellence.
  • Monitor and manage ongoing shipments, proactively addressing service issues and resolving customer concerns with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies, operational execution, and process improvements to meet revenue and margin goals.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent communication logs within CRM systems.
  • Support contract negotiations with carriers and vendors by helping secure competitive rates across service markets.
  • Stay informed on transportation trends, capacity shifts, and market changes to strengthen customer solutions and strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture aligned with ATS values while completing reporting, credit support, and additional tasks as needed.
  • Support business needs outside of standard hours when required and participate in occasional travel.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma required with 5+ years of experience in a customer-driven environment.
  • Transportation or logistics industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and global geography with the ability to interpret maps and optimize routing concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on timely execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage difficult situations and deliver consistent service excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight as needed.

HOURS:
  • This role typically operates within standard business hours (Monday-Friday), with flexibility to support customer needs outside of core hours as required. Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Total cash compensation range of this position is $48,00 to $68,000+ which includes a base salary range that starts at $45,000 plus training incentive of $500.00 per month for the first 6-months. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
  • Anderson Trucking Service offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid holidays, wellness programs, and employee assistance resources. Benefits eligibility begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
