Provide instructional support to individual students and small groups as directed by the classroom or ESE teacher.
Reinforce lessons and instructional activities developed by the teacher.
Assist students in completing class assignments, assessments, projects, and homework.
Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Support students in developing organizational, study, and independent learning skills.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the supervising teacher.
Assist with classroom management by reinforcing school-wide expectations and positive behavior strategies.
Support students with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) using approved de-escalation and redirection techniques.
Escort and supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, field trips, and other school activities.
Assist students with physical, medical, or personal care needs when required and appropriately trained.
Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers.
Maintain accurate records related to student participation, attendance, and assigned documentation.
Operate educational technology and assist students with digital learning platforms.
Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, counselors, and other support personnel to promote student success.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, self-advocacy, and appropriate social skills.
Perform clerical duties such as copying, filing, organizing instructional materials, and maintaining classroom supplies.
Assist with Title I instructional activities and family engagement initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or supervising teacher.
