The duties and responsibilities of a Head Football Coach include:
Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching program for football
Plan and schedule training sessions and matches
Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the team and the opponents to determine game strategies
Teach players the rules, strategies, and techniques of the game
Conduct tryouts and select team members
Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes
Provide guidance and mentorship to players to develop their skills and character
Manage the football budget and fundraising events
Maintain and enforce high standards of health, safety, and conduct of the team
Communicate regularly with parents, school administrators, and the media about team performance and activities
Attend and participate in relevant meetings and professional development activities
Evaluate and purchase equipment and uniforms

SEASONAL ONLY POSITION
In order to be considered for this position, applicant must currently possess a valid athletic coaching certificate, or a valid teaching certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education.
