Delivery Driver

Overview
The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with Colonial team members, drivers and members of the general public; providing assistance where required
• Maintain solid employee relations
• Review current day's work to ensure all areas have been serviced
• Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Delivery process including: packing lists, Invoices, COD & Return processing
• Maintain the service and appearance of truck
• Follow delivery/pickup instructions
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow route and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints
• Collect payments
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

• Must hold a valid Commercial Class A Driver's License.
• Must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate, under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must have a driving record in Good Standing and No DUI/DWI or drug conviction in last 5 years
• Previous CDL Driving experience
• Professional appearance
• Ability to read maps efficiently
• Strong customer service
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail and safety
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driver's license Class A
• Acceptable DOT drug test history
• Able to handle Cash transactions

Preferred Education or Experience

• Minimum 1 year delivery driving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driver's license Class A

This is a non-exempt position working Tuesday through Saturday
