Customer Account Manager (CAM)
Full-Time, Regular; Exempt
Summary:
The Customer Account Manager (CAM) will manage and grow assigned customer accounts while driving revenue and delivering exceptional service. This role combines account management, inside sales, and operational execution, requiring strong ownership of the full sales cycle-from opportunity development to order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP/CRM systems, aerospace or distribution environments, and cross-functional coordination, with a strong focus on customer relationships, revenue growth, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Ownership
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and territory
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive retention and repeat business
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions
Sales & Revenue Generation
• Own the full sales cycle: RFQs, bids, proposals, negotiation, and closing
• Manage and grow a sales pipeline using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
• Meet or exceed revenue targets, KPIs, and performance goals
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
• Execute upselling and cross-selling strategies to increase account value
• Prospecting and generating leads to support new business development
Order Management & Execution
• Manage customer orders from quote through fulfillment
• Review and process high-volume, complex orders requiring prioritization
• Ensure accurate order entry and timely delivery
• Monitor order status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with Purchasing, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Shipping
• Coordinate with Buyers to support sourcing and expediting
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements
• Support OEM and stakeholder coordination for quote and order activities
Customer Experience & Problem Resolution
• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to orders, delivery, or discrepancies
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers
• Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
Systems, Reporting & Compliance
• Utilize ERP systems (Quantum preferred) and CRM tools to manage sales and orders
• Analyze ERP and sales data to identify risks and opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records
• Ensure compliance with AS9120 and ISO9001 standards
• Support export compliance and international shipping requirements
Business Development & Market Engagement
• Participate in tradeshows, customer visits, and presentations
• Develop account strategies to drive long-term growth
• Maintain strong product and market knowledge to position services effectively
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 3+ years of sales account management, inside sales, or related experience
• Experience in aerospace, distribution, or manufacturing environments preferred
Technical Skills
• ERP systems experience (Quantum preferred)
• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
