Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager specializing in Plumbing and Hydronic Systems to drive growth and expand our market presence. This is a field-based, relationship-driven sales role within the construction and building products industry. Success in this position comes from building strong partnerships with contractors, engineers, and distributors, and navigating project-based, specification-driven sales cycles. The role involves regular in-person engagement across the territory, including jobsite visits, trainings, and customer meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Sell REHAU's full catalog including plumbing, residential fire, radiant, snow/ice melt, pre-insulated and geoexchange products.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the plumbing and hydronic systems sector, expanding our client base and market reach.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goals to increase revenue and market share.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, contractors, distributors, and industry stakeholders through effective communication and personalized service.
  • Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to manage leads, track sales activities, and analyze customer data for targeted marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns that promote our plumbing and hydronic product offerings, ensuring brand consistency and outreach effectiveness.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining profitability.
  • Generate sales volume by identifying and tracking commercial/residential opportunities.
  • Conduct training for engineers, contractors, and distributors with Manufacturers Reps.
  • Coordinate project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet customer specifications and expectations.

Qualifications
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
    • Five or more years of sales experience in the plumbing, hydronics, HVAC, or mechanical building systems industry
    • Demonstrated experience in building products, plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, or related construction-based industries required
    • Experience working with engineers, contractors, and distribution channels in a project/specification sales environment required
    • This is a remote position, but applicants must be located in Florida.
    • Proven experience in business development or sales within the plumbing, hydronic systems, or related construction industries.
    • Strong knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines.
    • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, negotiation, and project management to achieve business objectives.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
    • Familiarity with marketing strategies relevant to technical products in the building services sector.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

A candidate's final salary offer will be based on his or her skills, education, experience and geographic location. Total compensation may also include bonuses consistent with REHAU's corporate bonus plan.
