HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary:
- Senior-level operational leader responsible for optimizing patient flow, surgical throughput, and operational efficiency across Surgical Services (multiple departments).
- Demonstrates an understanding of diversity. Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
- Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
- Directly oversees non-clinical teams critical to surgical access and efficiency.
- Leads initiatives to improve case flow, throughput, on-time starts, and turnover efficiency.
- Acts as a primary operational contact for surgeons regarding access, throughput, and efficiency concerns.
- Focuses on process improvement, data-driven decision making, surgeon experience, and patient access.
- Develops and presents operational performance data related to throughput, utilization, efficiency, and access.
- Works in close partnership with clinical leaders, surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative leaders.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and fulfills other responsibilities not expressly described herein.

- Surgical Throughput Coords (JC: TBD), Supervisor/Surgical Support (JC: 077301), Surgical Support Technician II (JC: 070905), and Surgical Support Technician I (JC: 073705)
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, operations, or a related field
Preferred Education:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Master of Public Health (MPH) degree or a master's degree in a related field.
Required Experience:
- Five (5) years of progressive healthcare or surgical services operations experience
Preferred Experience:
- Five (5) years in perioperative or surgical services operations experience.
- Experience leading teams and driving operational improvement.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or performance improvement methodologies. Lean and/or Six Sigma certification(s).
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and dashboard development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
