Position Summary
IQ Fiber is seeking an Account Executive to drive commercial services growth in the small and medium business (SMB) market. This role is at the forefront of IQ Fiber's expansion into the business segment, focused on adding new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) within IQ Fiber's network footprint by prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals.

The Account Executive operates as a self-directed, high-activity outside sales professional with the ability to clearly articulate IQ Fiber's unique value proposition and guide prospects from discovery through close. This role requires a commitment to sustained prospecting effort, strong pipeline discipline, and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets by adding new MRR in the SMB market, with a strong focus on businesses located within or near IQ Fiber's existing network footprint.
• Maintain high prospecting activity through door-to-door outreach, cold calls, networking events, and industry conferences to generate a steady flow of qualified opportunities.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential deals, ensuring proper qualification, prioritization, and accurate forecasting of leads at each stage.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of IQ Fiber's product portfolio and effectively communicate the value of each service to prospective business customers.
• Qualify sales opportunities and coordinate internal resources to ensure effective sales support and execution through close.
• Monitor the progress of active and closed deals, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain timely execution.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to provide strategic insight and sharpen IQ Fiber's value proposition in the field.
• Provide regular reports and updates on sales activity, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to sales leadership.
• Partner closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between sales activities and support functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent education and experience considered.
• 5+ years of outside sales experience in broadband or telecommunications with a proven record of consistent goal attainment.
• Proficiency with CRM and sales tools, and general computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license required; must pass criminal background check, DMV/DVR review, and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed for meetings, events, and tradeshows.
• Ability to sustain high-volume door-to-door prospecting activity as a core part of the sales approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly and proactively with internal teams and prospects in both written and verbal formats.

What Success Looks Like
• Assigned sales targets are consistently met or exceeded, with new MRR added in the SMB market on a recurring basis.
• High prospecting activity - door-to-door outreach, cold calls, networking, and events - produces a steady and growing flow of qualified opportunities.
• A healthy, well-qualified pipeline is built and maintained, focused on businesses within or near IQ Fiber's network footprint and prioritized by profitability potential.
• IQ Fiber's value proposition and product portfolio are communicated clearly and compellingly, earning prospect trust and moving deals smoothly from discovery through close.
• Internal teams are kept well-informed through proactive communication, accurate forecasting, and collaborative issue resolution that keeps deals on track.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to walk for extended periods while conducting door-to-door prospecting throughout an assigned territory.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while engaging prospects at networking events, conferences, and business visits.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while conducting in-person prospecting and site visits.
• Ability to carry sales materials, such as a laptop or tablet, while moving between prospect and customer locations throughout the day.
• Ability to drive to multiple business locations throughout the day to conduct in-person sales visits.
