Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (Plus Commission)

Schedule: Monday to Friday – Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities of an Account Executive include:

Planning & Education -

  • Forecasts quarterly and annual sales goals in collaboration with department manager
  • Develops strategies and plans for growing new and existing customer accounts
  • Manages a portfolio and ensures sales, gross profit, and accounts receivable goals are met; Takes corrective action and makes improvements when goals are not being met
  • Stays current on industry and trade-related technical developments and innovations; Knows regulatory and building codes. Develops and maintains expertise in using company technology, including software, hardware, and communication systems

Networking & Relationships -

  • Develops new customers through networking by participating in appropriate trade and industry marketplace associations. Maintains a log of customer touchpoints and a schedule of upcoming events and association meetings
  • Maintains relationships by providing proactive communication and project oversight matching the strategic importance and relative profit potential of assigned customer base
  • Demonstrates knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance to current and potential customers

Marketing & Communications -

  • Collaborate with the manager to establish and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy
  • Assists with the implementation of marketing and sales programs to meet company sales goals
  • Evaluates, recommends, and facilitates corporate sponsorship opportunities
  • Grows, optimizes, and maintains relevant contact lists via CRM software
  • Engages prospective customers with nurture email campaigns

Opportunities & Estimates -

  • Follows up on all strategic leads and opportunities in a timely fashion. Follows up with new “walk-in” customers to formally introduce themselves and all of the company's capabilities
  • Consults with customers to determine effective solutions considering mechanical, operational, and financial factors
  • Completes site surveys to develop total solution proposals for customers
  • Communicates pricing, scope of work, and service completion timelines thoroughly and effectively
  • Follows up on service recommendations within 48 hours to discuss options, solutions, and pricing as appropriate

Execution & Support -

  • Reviews all quotes/orders/sales contracts to ensure material lists and installation directions are complete, accurate, and executable before passing jobs to the Install Manager; Ensures resources are scheduled according to project timelines
  • Ensures projects are being sold correctly in keeping with technical and quality standards, compliance with all laws and regulations, and in line with gross profit expectations; Provides feedback to service managers to ensure excellence
  • Supports and complies with hand-off policies and procedures, as well as material and equipment purchasing requirements
  • Works closely with service managers to develop quality control and customer service programs to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Preferred)
  • Must be proficient in at least one trade: commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas or boilers
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license
