Responsibilities
  • Review and process all BS/MS pathway program MS-level applications in Slate.
  • Submit Advisor forms for newly admitted BS/MS pathway MS-level students, including but not limited to: Internal Transfer Credit request, program of study, drop/add requests, grade change, and other misc. forms.
  • Offer registration assistance for BS/MS pathway program MS-level students.
  • Provides academic processes support for the unit, to include, but not limited to collecting syllabi from program faculty, ensuring syllabi compliance with university policy, and electronic filing of syllabi per department procedures; distributing and collecting IOR evaluations each semester; collection of textbook assignments from program faculty.
  • Assists with entry of required textbooks within Student Central.
  • Provides unit support by requesting edits to the STE websites and posting to STE social media accounts.
  • Provides teaching clerical support for unit faculty and adjuncts.
  • Provides administrative support to faculty in the creation and submission of Distinguished Teaching Award binders.
  • Works with STE Coordinator on issues surrounding combined pathways programs' recruitment efforts, program compliance assistance, etc.
  • Provides additional support as needed and assigned by supervisor, including, but not limited to, front desk reception and clerical support for department management to ensure the successful operation of STE as a whole.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing administrative or academic support in a higher education setting.
  • Experience supporting student admissions, registration, records, or other academic processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and electronic database or student information systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and provide professional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary for this position is in the mid $30,000s, commensurate with experience and education.
